The actual story and it’s characters were good-ish. That alone would get more of a 3.5 buuut we have the absolute incredible lore. There is SO MUCH fascinating development in this world! I already took a deep dive on the wiki and am restraining myself from looking up everything I want to know (Hoids page I am CLAWING at the gates of my own restraint)

Unfortunately even after heavy googling I haven’t found who THE FUCK narrates “On the three Metallic Arts”
Like what do you mean “It is primarily concerned with things of the Spiritual realm, and is of the greatest interest to me. If one of these three arts is of great interest to the Cosmere, it is this one. I think there are great possibilities for its use”

It could just be Brandon and it’s as info for the reader but I don’t trust it...

EDIT: VINDICATION I HAVE FOUND IT
It's a character I have never heard of

The characters Sanderson creates are fun. The story is fun. The pace is perfect. Honestly, Sanderson is just so fun in general.
