Cleo LOVES Bows! So much so that she wears bows in her hair, on her clothes and all over her room.
Cleo learned to tie a bow from a cute story about a little rabbit with very long ears and a fox who shows her how to keep them clean. Besides being a quaint and cute story it teaches children how to tie a bow whether in their hair or on their shoes. There also a link to a video and a song.

The illustrations in this book are absolutely adorable! The story is sweet, and I loved how the fox helped the bunny. The instructions were clear with matching illustrations, and can help tie a bow, or tie your sneakers!

Cleo Can Tie A Bow is part of the Rabbit and Fox series from Sybrina Durant. In this edition, Friendly Fox teaches a bunny to tie her ears in a bow to keep them from dragging on the ground.

I know our family has a little story to teach youngsters to tie their shoes. This cute story takes it a step further with a rhyming tale and a beautifully illustrated book. I want to give a special mention to Pumudi Gardiyawasam for the fabulous illustrations.

The first part of the story gives us a look at Cleo, a bow-obsessed little girl. Her room, clothes, and life are full of bows. She likes to tie her bunny's ears in a bow. The second part of the story teaches how to tie a perfect bunny ear bow every time. Instructions are included in this section so a child can practice with a ribbon while Bunny is learning from Fox.

I think anyone teaching children to tie their shoes will love this book. It would make an appropriate gift for preschoolers. It should be in every daycare and public library too.

I received a copy of the book for a blog tour. This review is my honest, unbiased opinion.

Cleo Can Tie A Bow. If you know me, you know that I don't have "big" opinions on picture books. After all, they're picture books. As long as they have easy-to-understand vocabulary and nice pictures that aren't too busy, I enjoy them just fine.

Cleo Can Tie A Bow though... Well, I'm not so sure

This book was super cute! I don't know about you but one of the toughest things to teach a kid is how to tie their shoes. The way you were taught may not work for the way your kids learn. I know that has been my experience with my own children. They also don't learn the same way. My younger kiddos enjoyed this book a lot. They thought the fox was a bit scary in its drawing but then they realized the fox was just trying to help. We are still working on our shoe tying skills but this book is definitely a good starter to get them motivated.

If you need a book to help your kiddo tie their shoes then I definitely recommend you grab this one. Not only would it be good for personal home use but I can see a teacher also reading this for their preschool/kindergarten class and motivating kids to learn how to do this skill.

I received a copy of this book through Just Read. I was not required to post a positive review. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.

Cleo loves bows. She has bows everywhere. This isn’t really a story about Cleo though. This is the story of the rabbit and the fox. The story of how to tie a bow. As a mother of a child who grew up with dyspraxia, I am thrilled to find such an easy-to-follow system for teaching young ones to tie a bow. The story masks the fact that they are learning. The book is filled with pages of art that will keep kids entranced. The colors, though at first overwhelmingly pink, are actually quite subtle drawing little eyes to exquisite details and drawing them into rabbit’s story.

I imagine this book is a shoo-in for girls, but there are boys who will enjoy it as well. While it is written towards preschool-age kids, older kids who find themselves still struggling with bow tying, will not find the story too young.
