Pretty schmaltzy, but charming. This was the second library Nook that I read in one (and a half if you count reading in bed last night) sitting this weekend. Success!

This memoir read less like the amusing autobiography that I imagined and more like a trashy romance novel. Sadly Ree is far less likable in print than in her tv show. I was especially disappointed that this book didn't chronicle the rise of her blog or include any of the recipes or homeschooling tips that made her famous, but it was still a mildly entertaining read.
funny
lighthearted
No offence to the real-life person herself or her relationship, but this book is terrible and the protagonist is entirely unlikeable. Also, disappointingly PG throughout (which I get, since it's her real-life relationship, but still). I'm sure her blog is great but this novel, not so much.
It was cute and fluffy. That is about all I have to say.
The book started string, lagged a little in the middle but overall was an enjoyable read.
I enjoy reading The Pioneer Woman blog, and saw this book at the library when I popped in earlier in the week. It seemed worth the risk to grab the book and take it for a test drive to see how it plays out. Looking forward to starting this book.

It was a fun story, though it lacked in depth and character development. Nothing earth-shattering, and it probably isn't as enjoyable for someone who doesn't read her blog.
