An enjoyable collection of tales and short stories. The most scariest one for me was Gramma as that was such a scary tale and it left its mark on me. I also really enjoyed the Lovecraft references in it. Another story that I really enjoyed that had such a scary ending was the sci-fi story The Jaunt as I really enjoyed the sci-fi aspect of it.
Some other stories I really enjoyed were Miss Todd’s Shortcut as I loved that story. I also found The Raft to be a very good story. The Reach was another one that I enjoyed the ending and found it to be good. Survivor Type was a very weird and disturbing story for me. I found the ending of The Wedding Gig to be nice. Also I weirdly really enjoyed Word Processor of the Gods too.
I also enjoyed the other Castle Rock stories that were Nona and Uncle Otto’s Truck and also really enjoyed the references to characters from King’s Castle Rock books such as Ace Merrill and Joe Chamber.
Here There Be Tygers, Cain Rose Up and The Reaper’s Image were very short and ok with I liking The Reaper’s Image most of all.
I also liked Beachworld and the sci-fi aspects of it. The Ballad of the Flexible Bullet was also an interesting read. The Man Who Would Not Shake Hands was another story held in that odd New York Club from The Breathing Method in Different Seasons and was a good story.
The Monkey really did not impress me that much though it was very scary. The Mist was a great and scary story with such horrifying monsters and I really enjoyed it upto its ending which I did not like.
I did not really get or enjoy the 2 Milkman stories though and they were my least favourite.
Overall a great collection of stories.

DNF @ 60%
I'm determined to stop forcing my way through books I'm not enjoying, so here I am actually DNFing this short story collection because it's been a bit of a struggle. Far from King's best work, and I'm not sure if I want to pick up more short stories from him after this. I loved the novellas in Different Seasons, but with Skeleton Crew I just don't think most of the concepts are that interesting or go far enough. Out of what I read here I enjoyed The Mist, The Jaunt, and The Raft the most, but the rest didn't do much for me.

I had a fun time reading this one. It's a collection of 22 short stories, so there were some I really liked, and some I really did not like.
Top 3: The Monkey, Word Processor of the Gods, The Ballad of the Flexible Bullet
Bottom 3: Cain Rose Up, The Wedding Gig, Nona
After reading this, I have decided that I prefer longer stories, since I love spending time with characters while reading a book. Although, this book did keep my attention span since I felt a sense of accomplishment each time I finished a story. It was a good palate cleanser since I am still waist deep in The Stand, and I needed to feel the accomplishment of finishing a book. I'm giving this one 3 stars because while all of the stories were generally entertaining, only a few of them are memorable for me. Looking back at the list of stories at the front of the book, I've already have to remind myself on what they were about. Overall, I had a good time, but I fear the content in this book will not stick with me in the way that I want a book to stick with me.

This is quite a mix bag of stories. Half of the book was great while the other half is quite bad….
The Mist
The Monkey
The Jaunt
The Raft
Survivor Type
Gramma
These 5 are a must read within these collections.
Nona and the Word Processor of Gods are ok. The rest are very skippable. No need to read them at all.
