I liked it as much as the first time I had read it. I love that winter atmosphere in this story!

I most definitely dove into Avalanche for a challenge and that's basically the only reason why. It was nice that it was available on KU because that made it very easy to dive into. Also, it was on my TBR for about two years.. so that's another plus (I guess). I'm hoping I didn't add any other books from this series to my TBR because I'm not sure when I will ever get to those. Or if there's enough wine to even make me want to dive into them.

I'll admit that the beginning was pretty interesting and I was hoping that things were going to go a certain way. After I threw out that plan of expectations, it was very easy to spot how this was actually going to go. Insta-everything basically and that caused a lot of eye rolling from me. Plus I drank my two bottles of Rosé.

Other than that, I didn't really like the characters in this one. It's like things went down hill pretty quickly after their little reunion. I was hoping for more avalanches to be honest or something more interesting to happen. Because after Bellamy and Liam did whatever.. I just wanted the book to be over.

In the end, what first made me intrigued in the book soon got overlooked by my brain and I stopped to care about anything that was happening. I'm glad that it's over.

I heart Liam and Bells

Man what an awesome book! The storyline starts with Bellamy going to visit her dad and she knows instantly he’s in trouble and what follows suit is insanely intense but leaves you wanting more and that’s just the prologue. The story picks up and we get more suspense and we wonder what Bellamy will choose to do next.
Liam is an ex Olympic snowboarder who teaches classes at his family resort, he’s stuck in a place of not knowing which direction his life is going and needing to make important decisions. Then in stumbles Bellamy and they instantly click again after 8 years apart.
The chemistry these two have is off the charts and has lasted throughout the years but they have some trust issues and things that needs to be worked out.
I loved this book it was suspenseful and sweet all in one. I loved how the characters still had their love for each other and although it had been a lot of years apart it was still there. There was some push and pull on Bells part but it wasn’t like she kept pushing Liam away over and over again to annoy a person, she relented into letting him in after just a little time because she loved him and knew she needed someone on her side. This does end in a happy for now so I can’t wait to see what the next book has in store for us and the secret that Liam is still carrying around and maybe we will get more info on his best friend too.

Here's the thing... I really enjoyed this book. I was sucked in and didn't want to put it down. I read half of it on a flight back home from vacation and continued reading in the car and at home. I loved the couple, the story, everything... but... I wasn't looking for a series. This is my fault. I wasn't paying attention. While this book doesn't end on a cliffhanger, it's definitely not even a HFN ending IMO (although the couple is together at the end). And while I thoroughly enjoyed this world the author built, I will not be continuing the story. I'm not sure why, other than I don't feel like I need to. I love the couple. I know they will get their HEA eventually, but I'm satisfied with book one only.

I enjoyed this. I've never read a book before about a snowboarder so this was new for me and it was so good. I loved the setting of it all. However, I will say though I felt like it was very insta-lovey which isn't my fav thing, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it.

I love Cambria Hebert's books! This one was definitely different than her other books. It's a combination of a girl running from big problem and a second chance romance.
Liam was fun and sexy. I loved his relationship with Alex. I did question how little we saw his parents, since his father wants to groom him to take over the lodge. Once Bellamy arrived, they didn't show up until near the end.
I look forward to the next book in the series.

It's been awhile since I've read a Cambria Hebert book and her writing style is like coming home. I can always expect plenty of feels and a resounding theme of " friends are the family you choose. " Seriously, its like wrapping your hands around a cup of hot cocoa in the winter. Pure comfort read.

Avalanche is a second chance romance. Liam and Bellamy met when they were teens at BearPaw Resort. It was young love at its finest. A week may not seem long, but it was long enough for a bond to form. A misunderstanding led to 8 years of separation; A separation that ended when Bellamy was on the run and a split decision led her to a place she had once felt safe and cared for. It had been a long time since she had any feelings resembling safety.

Liam was understandably shocked to see a woman he never thought he'd see again. The same woman his best friend refers to as the one who got away. When he realizes she's in some kind of trouble all the manly protective instincts come out, along with some feelings he thought he buried deep inside his heart. It seemed their time apart may have led to them growing up into adults, but it didn't do anything to diminish their chemistry.

As the story unfolds Liam unfortunately gets to find out exactly how much trouble Bellamy has found herself in. In the end it's still not enough for him to let her get away a second time. Once was bad enough. The book ends with the MCs in a good place romantically, but the real drama is far from over. It will continue in book 2 which I will be reading as soon as I finish this review.

Good.

I liked this. It started off a bit slow but definitely picked up at the end and I’m excited about reading more of the series.

Loved this book. The characters seem to jump right off the page. There was enough suspense to keep you invested, but not so much it wound you like a clock. The story premise was amazing, so well written and an enjoyable read. Told in dual pov.
