Michelle walks in on her first day of teaching ready to take on the world and a rambunctious set of first graders - what she isn’t prepared for is the guy that ghosted her in college being the gym teacher at the same elementary school. Chris has been in love with Michelle for years and after his life changed in an instant - he left her behind. But fate has other things in mind.

I adored this story. It is heartbreakingly sweet and honest and made me laugh out loud. Both Chris and Michelle have reasons for their feelings after five years apart and Granata lets them actually work through them. I especially loved the fact that they had a character who had a disability versus a disabled character! (Aiden definitely deserves his own story! Also Micheal...)

There was realistic heat between the mains with a side of longing and just a dash of angst that kept this story going and I highly recommend it for those who love second chance romances (my favorite!) and just a heartwarming and quick read. the bedroom scene felt natural and was surprisingly hot!

I loved the story in this book! As we got to know the characters and the changes in each of their lives I loved them even more!

I really enjoyed this read. It was my first of Kristen's but will not be my last.

This book has everything you want. There was wit, steam, romance, self-understanding, coping with disabilities and difficult topics, there was grief and loss, and redemption and love. So much was packed into this book. Did I mention angst?... I didnt. Well, there was lots of and it's so fun to read about.

Thank you Kristen for allowing me to read this before the general public.

Kristen Granata shines once again with her latest romcom novel!

Kristen has a way of crafting words and language that effectively elicit all the proper emotions and reactions while reading. I laughed at the witty dialogue, held my hand to my heart at the sad moments, rallied with the strong female lead, and smiled at the heartwarming scenes.

I fell in love with these characters. Michelle is strong, kind, compassionate, and loves fiercely. I'm enamored with Michelle's brothers and her dad. I cherish Christopher's heart of gold and relate to his absurd clumsiness. And Aiden. Oh my God, Aiden. I adore him. Why can't all kids be like him? Everyone is a hero in this book. Everyone is a warrior in their own right.

I loved seeing characters again from the previous book. It's extremely difficult to include past characters and scenes in a current book without being repetitive or mundane. Kristen executes it flawlessly.

Kristen, I said this with Hating the Boss, but it bears repeating. This is your niche. This is where you shine. I can't wait to read what you create next.
