Loss. Of. Words. I cannot even imagine how heartbreaking this book is for dog lovers, as I was uncontrollably sobbing, weeping, crying, etc. and I don't even have an obsession with dogs. Please read this book. Please. The story is narrated from the perspective of a dog and it is extremely unique. The heartbreaking loss of the family and your constant hope for a happy ending continually draws you back into the book. I can't describe the wonders of this book in words, all I can say is: read this book.
Well then...that was amazing!!! First book in awhile where I’ve actually had to force myself to read slower because I was getting caught up in the dialogue and missing stuff. First few pages and the last few chapters made me cry...like...a lot. Since we had to put our family dog down a few months ago, this book has been an incredible blessing and a cathartic read for me. Can’t wait to revisit it years down the road all over again!

Many highs and lows for the characters in this book.... told from the perspective of the dog and it sure made me appreciate Dunkin's daily thoughts and action a bit more! A good read!
I really enjoyed reading this book. It's told through the eyes of a dog named Enzo. He has so much insights about life and the day to day activities. It's very touching and made me teary-eyed at the end. I am pleasantly surprised that so much story can be told with the perspective of man's best friend. It's a quick read as well. I love it and highly recommend it!
