A story told from Molly's point of view, about a haunted house case they tackle together.

After investigating past events, they find out that
Spoilera vampire, who was notorious for trying all sorts of crazy experiments to find a cure for his son's illness, is trapped in a pocket dimension within the house, endlessly repeating the moments leading to his son's death.

They enlist the help of a competent police detective called Brax, and Evan, Molly's husband, and manage to release the vampire and then kill him before he goes on a rampage, clearing the house from the magical curse plaguing it
.

Engaging story that strengthens Molly and Jane's friendship, after
SpoilerMolly sees Jane's other nature up close and accepts it
, reveals that
SpoilerMolly is pregnant again
and introduces Brax, whom I'm sure we'll see more of in future books, starting with [b:Signatures of the Dead|20744880|Signatures of the Dead (Jane Yellowrock, #0.7)|Faith Hunter|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1391738430l/20744880._SX50_.jpg|40075864] next.

Lovely to get some back story on Molly and Jane's relationship. Also a great length and as always the audiobook narration is wonderful.
This is the story of one of the first times Molly and Jane worked together on a professional job. It is a story as much about their growing relationship as it is about the plot in the story (which was interesting to be sure). I really liked the interplay between Molly, Jane and Even. I was once again struck by just how well written these stories are. The descriptions are almost poetic without ever bugging the stories down or turning into purple prose. I found the story very enjoyable and it makes me want more, much more.
