I really loved this book a lot. Both the characters and plot are complex in a way that I really appreciated. I think there’s definitely some stuff that went unexplored, but it’s hard to know for sure where that would have taken the story.

I think, if you like the cute ensemble cast of Heartstopper then you might find affinity and enjoyment with this. And yes, the ending is happy enough. 🥰🥰

I adored Elsie’s story throughout this book and her own journey of self discovery. Such a wondrous book and I am so happy to have read it as there were many moments and realisations that truly resonated with me and I felt so attached to all of our characters. I could not put this book down I only wish it had been longer as I truly didn’t want this book to end.

Loved this — a wholesome, soft, sapphic light read.

Sometimes the narration/dialogue pulled me out of the story a bit, and interrupted my flow of reading — but overall really enjoyed it.

This book was so freaking good. I teared up and squealed at so many parts. To have had something like this growing up would’ve been a game changer for my self discovery but that it exists now is an incredible thing. Absolutely adored our MC and she was so relatable and I just felt instantly connected to her and her experiences. Truly a masterpiece. One of the best coming of age stories I’ve read in a while. The pacing was great too and the dialogue between characters was so realistic and I felt like I was experiencing my teen years again.

This was a cute read! I loved So’s writing, their use of metaphor was absolutely gorgeous. I also loved the discussions of self-perception, race, and sexuality in the book. I enjoyed all the different plot threads in the book, though I felt like some were underdeveloped and could’ve been cut to dedicate more time to others. I also felt like the plot was incredibly predictable and the pacing could’ve used some work. An enjoyable dread overall.

A lovely story.
At some points it did slow down a bit too much for me and I grew bored. I don’t think I was hooked enough for how long the story was. But then there was also parts where I devoured the pages.
