This book began pretty slow, and I wasn't sure how I felt about it -- but in the last day of reading it, I read 2/3 of the whole book. Absolutely loved it. For me, Elsie made me feel so seen in the way she viewed her bisexuality and her gender/clothing choices. and her uncle?? I cried a fair amount. 100% would recommend.

recommended to me by a darling friend who clearly has excellent taste. really loved the way this felt warm and kind and really showed diverse ways to love. i really want to read more contemporary YA british authors and see more books just set here
