So nice to just pick up a Sapphic book to have something quick and fun to read, and end up finishing it in a day and giving it five stars!

I loved all the characters. What a great diverse cast! Ada’s grandma has my heart.
Complicated topics of family, shame and acceptance were handled so well and convincingly. The situation was heart wrenching.
I LOVED the fandom references. Very relatable.
The only thing that irked me a little sometimes was the dialogue. Characters sometimes gave a lot of information at once in a way that felt a little unorganic.
But the rest was really nice!

Having a crush is just about the most moronic feeling on earth
It's such a summery book, I feel like it should be read solely during that time of year (I read it in winter / almost spring, but I think I'll reread it sometime during next or maybe even this summer, cause it just fits). And it's about all possible kinds and flavours of love – family, friends, crushes, loves; current and past, closer ones and those that are more distant. Many kinds of queer relationship too, and some parts managed to hit a bit too close to home.
It was also really easy to read, at first I couldn't quite get into its style but then I read the entire second half in a few hours. And while I still think the writing wasn't exactly my style, I really enjoyed reading it and, as I said, I will certainly reread it in the future!
in short, I recommend trying :D

did cynthia so go into my brain and turn it into a book, because this encapsulated everything it means to be a queer person that grew up on the internet (relying on long distance friendships) SO WELL.
plus the fluffy romantic moments had me screaming i’m not gonna lie. wish i could experience this for the first time again :(
