I laughed throughout this book, but kept feeling guilty about each chuckle.

Typical Christopher Moore, but you can tell this was an early effort.

Always have rather enjoyed his writing. Somehow missed this book, thanks to a friend for recing it to me.
I laughed. A lot.
My reviews are wildly unhelpful if I write one at all. So… I found it enjoyable

Found the first chapter heavy going, as I didn't like either of the two main characters. Was very relived when the unlikable character who was shaping up to be the protagonist was eaten by a demon at the end of chapter 1. The remaining characters got better, were more interesting, and less annoying. Liked that jumped from one perspective to another, giving you a round of what was going on in the heads of the people involved in the story -- and a very satisfactory (if improbable) ending (well, it's not like anything else in the story was probable, so why should the ending be less so?). A fast read, light, with enough demons and supernatural activity going to keep the pace up as the characters all wrestled with the problem of getting rid of the demon in their midst.

There are ways in which this book would benefit from a queer rewrite, but largely it doesn't deserve it. #JusticeforRoxanne
