Method: ebook

Rating: 3/5 stars

H rating: 3/5 - Javier

h rating: 3/5 - Bella

Drama: 4/5 - Lots of drama and I honestly kinda got lost there for a bit.

Thoughts: Very twisted but honestly I kinda really liked it. It was different from what I am currently in the middle of so I am all too happy for the palate cleanser.

I liked it

I don't read dark books a lot, I like my books "fluffy" normally. But once in awhile I will read outside of my comfort zone. I have read and enjoyed other books by this author so I decided to give this one a try and I liked it. It kept my attention throughout the whole book, I did not skim through it the way I have been doing so many other books lately. Yes it had some stuff that made me cringe but I it didn't stop me from continuing to read and rooting for a HEA.

Heartstopping brilliance

This was an amazing roller-coaster of emotions. Between feeling terrified to having a sense of security. From happy to grief stricken, and from feeling hope only have it all striped away again in the blink of an eye. The story ebbs and flows seamlessly between each high and low.
Each time I thought I could trust the hope to blossom, it would evaporate. Javi and Bella have a complicated relationship. Neither of them understand the power they have over each other.
This book has more than earned a place in my top reads of 2018.

What Ashleigh has delivered is a gripping and angst filled re-telling of Beauty and the Beast and what a story it is!!!

However, 'Beast' is not for the faint of hearted. It's dark, filled with deceit, torture and more twists than you could think but by hell is it good.

I absolutely love Ashleigh's writing and I think this book is a testament to how captivating and beautiful her writing is.

It's not as dark as what people make it out to be (that's just my opinion) and I think the sentence structure she used worked perfectly. It gave it that edgier feel to the book. And the ending...was just beautiful.

I must read from me and a solid 4 dark stars!!!

this was sooo goood. the third act made me really nervous but overall it was really good.

Wow I loved every dark moment of this book I can't wait to read book 2🤗

Trigger Warning: This is a dark romance novel. It contains scenes such as abuse, kidnapping and degradation. This book is not for everyone and read at your own risk.

Beast is a dark romance retelling of Beauty and the Beast. It's fast-paced, edgy and gritty. Multiple times the scenes made me uncomfortable and it's definitely cringe worthy. The book is about a popular singer Isabella Rossi. Being a Pop Princess is not what she wanted to be. It doesn't speak to her soul but for publicity she will. Her father works in an agency and was reportedly missing. She's advised not to meddle on her father's business and must keep herself safe because her life is in danger.

Javier Castillo is a mysterious and dangerous man with a grievous past. He plans to seek revenge by abducting Isabella and break her soul in every possible way. However, he's mesmerized by her beauty and innocence and was undeniably attracted to her. Will he be able to fight this attraction and continue his revenge or he'll give in to her despite of being a monster?

The plot is good and intense. It reminds me of Raw by Belle Aurora and Debt by Nina G. Jones. However, the character development was minimal and I'm not a fan of Javier. He's a psychopath and all the things he did to Bella was unforgivable. Bella was okay, she's a little weak though.

3,75 Stars for this one!

It was good.
It was dark ... ich.
It was sometimes intense.
It was captivating.
It was rushed.
It was sometimes ridiculously unbelievable.

But I like it and I will read the next one in this series.

This was 50 shades of fucked up, but of course, I loved every part of it.
Sick and dark to the curb, but it earned its spot in my forbidden bookshelf.
Till the end such an emotional rollercoaster.

Thank you, A. Zavarelli for existing and writing such amazing stories.
