Amazing art, beautiful story. My second graphic novel and I think I'm doing well in the graphic novel aspects of my reading journey. I read this at 1 am on a weeknight, enthralled by the world that Walden created by her art. It's so expressive, and the spacey, scify scenes are wonderful - full of imagination and wonder. In fact, I've shelved this away for a tattoo someday. Throughout reading this I was so glad and thankful that there are people who share their beautiful ideas and stunning work with everyone else. As someone of the LGBT persuasion myself I am doubly-glad that this webcomic exists - it warms my cynical soul.

I think this is one of the most gorgeous books I’ve ever read, the drawings were sublime and really brought the story to life. I loved the switching between the past and present and the way the colours represented what era the narrative is in. I felt this worked really well and helped enhance the story and the plot line and kept the reader ripped throughout this stunning novel. I’m astonished that someone can write and illustrate a novel this beautiful and I would recommend it to anyone. It is a beautiful beautiful storyline and I loved the messages about young love, hope and the preservation of planets and architecture. Once again this is an absolutely gorgeous book one of the best graphic novel that I’ve ever read. 5⭐️

I loved this book. It reminded me so much of the Spill Zone series. Such a great story, confusing at times, always beautiful, mysterious, exciting and such a page turner.

This is pretty and sweet I say good

I loved this, and I'm so impressed that Tillie Walden did all the writing and all the art on this book. The artwork is gorgeous, and Walden manages, where many people fail, to tell a story with not only overlapping timelines, but interconnected character storylines that layer like musical variations on a theme. The art, in it's layouts and coloring, communicates both the beauty, vastness, and wonder of space and landscapes, and uses them to convey the a whole range of human emotions. The author intersperses the quotidien not only to remind us of the mundane, but to make the characters and stories relatable and alive. Last but not least, this book came out at a time when queer normative stores were much harder to find, even thought it was less than a decade ago. There is something extremely poignant about seeing multiple generations of queer folx and chosen family in one book, and that while they have and will experience more adventures and tribulations, happily-ever-after is possible.
