This is one of those books that throws you in the middle of the story and makes you figure it out. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but the book starts very slow, so the reader may be left puzzling some things out for a while. The story line did pick up--though I am not sure how I feel about the ending, making this a hard book to rate.
I will also say that the world building is odd. I think deliberately so, since the nature of space and literal space weather are so far out that the author isn't clearly just making mistakes, but wanting to create a certain atmosphere. I'm just not sure how successful the author is.

Okay. This is offically one of my favorite stories EVER! Slow-burn romance? AND FOUND FAMILY???? WITH LOTS OF LGBT CHARACTERS!!!! oh man. I really really love Tillie Walden =)
