Delicious Alphaverse action from start to finish!

Alexi Skolov is on a mission. He's been tasked to find his missing brother and he's currently in the desolate region of Sartin. A burnt out terrain where the sun will scorch you if you are caught out in the sun's rays. This world isn't for the meek and it breaks Alexis' heart knowing his lost brother could have ended up here when he was kidnapped almost sixteen years ago. To even enter this dark world, terms had to be met, Alexi has been promised to one of the omega's. So while he was originally hoping to only leave with his brother, he'll also be leaving with a mate. That was a term he never saw for himself, especially considering his condition.

Keira Sartin has been put down and told she's worthless most of her life. While she realizes that omegas serve their purpose, she realizes that her lack of gift and ability to produce an heir makes her less than other omegas. However, she's never let it get in the way of helping others. She uses her intellect and kindness to help the underground movement and helps omegas escape the abuse and omega trading right from under her uncle's nose. While he believes she's worthless and unnoticeable, she uses that fact against him at every turn.

Alexi and Keira may have never met under normal circumstances, but fate has a way of working out. These two souls have felt broken and worthless their entire lives, that is until they meet and realize that together they are worthy. Together they can achieve anything. Together they can see each other's potential, which truly strengthens their inner qualities. Qualities that they used to believe were weaknesses. Their story is full of passion, but more than that it's one of building self esteem, inner beauty from believing in yourself, and loving yourself so you can love someone else.

There were moments where their brokenness is emotional, but the strength they draw from one another is so beautiful I couldn't help but feel their love pour off the page and don't get me startled on their passion. Whew! Hot! Hot! Hot!

Also, Keira's cousin, Maddox, is an amazing secondary character, but that's all I'm saying about him for now.

I love this entire omegaverse world, but Alexi and Keira may be my favorite couple yet.

Broken Heir
A Dark Fated-Mates Romance (Ruthless Warlords, Book 3)
By: Alison Aimes
Narrated by: Jason Clarke, Stella Hunter

I have been waiting for Alexi's story and it was so worth the wait. A damaged soul, he has been through more than any man should have to endure. But even so, he has kept a good heart, and he knows his limitations. Keira is his fated mate. There is no doubt. Equally as damaged, he is very concerned about her safety when his beast is lurking. Keira is incredibly strong and knows what a good man Alexi is. But these two are at odds outside their little area. Alison Aimes has packed this story with so much. The steam factor is high, the deception heartbreaking and surprising, and the twists and turns this action packed journey are shocking. Alexi and Keira find out there is more to this Alpha/Omega relationship than just their physical, matching intelligence and personalities. This is my kind of story, loved every minute!

Stella Hunter and Jason Clarke our the host for our storytelling and this pairing always is fantastic. Hunter plays the strong, feisty, stubborn Keira with the perfect emotional pull and attitude. Alexi is an onion, and Clarke peels away each layer, with feeling and bravery. An amazing listen and one that should not be missed.

Somehow this phenomenal series just keeps getting better with each new book. Alison Aimes has an amazing talent for world and character building that just pulls you right into the story and whisks you away to Anarcheim, an Alphaverse galaxy.

This is a series you just have to start at the beginning and enjoy the tremendous ride. The detail Alison has put into building the world these characters reside within builds with each subsequent book, the overarching plot continues to unwind and then twist in unexpected ways. Each book brings a very satisfying HEA for the Skolov brother and his fated mate.

Each brother has been through an epic ordeal that has twisted his self-identity and caused tremendous emotional pain. Their fated-mates have also faced significant issues, but together with their Alpha are
able to do more and be better than as individuals.

I found Alexei to be an amazing male character- his tortured past has unleashed a berserker type monster to emerge when he is under stress or his loved ones are in danger. Under the hulk-like monster is a soft hearted and loving alpha who would literally give his life for his omega.

Keira is able to keep her true ambitions and plans far under the radar while being in plain sight of the cruel alpha of her claim. Keira is one badass, independent omega who with Alexei at her side becomes even more amazing.

Loved this book, the additional progress made in the search for the missing Skolov twins and the evil mastermind, and why the Skolov family is being targeted. I can’t wait for the next book to release.

I received an ARC from the author and Hidden Gems; and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Just as great as the previous books, but it had a couple tropes that aren't my favorite for personal reasons. Still excellent, though. Full RTC.

I enjoy different spicy romance and omegaverse. I'm not a huge fan of space romances. However, I do love mafia romances so this being a crime story was spectacular.

Kiera and Alexi both have tragic backstories. When they meet, neither of them knows who the other is. However, when they are together in front of her family, all of her plans shift. Her goal was to have her sister married off to the Skolov alpha to get her away from their family.

The interactions between Alexi and his brothers were all perfect. Of course, each brother has his own personality, but their love is apparent.

The pacing felt off to me. The first 75% sucked me in, but the last 25% seemed to bounce all over and felt rushed.

By the way, I received an advanced reader copy and am leaving an honest review.

i knew alexi’s book would be my favourite but it was for the plot more than the romance which was shocking. i love the
found family trope and (even though it turned out that maddox was mikhail) the moment where they found out his blood wasn’t a match and alexi accepted him anyway was
so touching i loved it.

the romance did fall a little flat for me just because it seemed to go from 0 to 100 immediately but in fairness i knew what i signed up for with the series and the rest of the story is still super exciting for me personally. i didn’t love the whole hulking out thing cause it just reminded me that it’s technically monster/alien romance which is really not my thing outside of this series but that’s another thing that is completely on me.

i was dreading reading damien’s book til the set up in the bonus epilogue but i still think it’s gonna be another case of the romance playing second fiddle to the actual side plot
- i guess i’ll just have to wait and see
