I don't know what to say. This book is gold and Audrey Rose is amazing! Thomas Cresswell sounds like my dream man! The storyline was so well-written and put together. It is my favorite series so thank you, Kerri, for this amazing book.

i’m done with this book. i’m so sorry. it seems like a really great book and i love the surgical aspects but i hate hate hate the writing. i just can’t stand that kind of writing style. the plot seems great and really entrancing but the writing ruined it for me.

Stalking Jack the Ripper, a story told in the perspective of Audrey Rose Wadsworth in 1888 London. Audrey Rose may be a woman, but she enjoys the study of science, under the apprenticeship of her Uncle Jonathan, a doctor who examines the dead. Not only that, but she is soon having to work with a dashing young man named Thomas Cresswell. Both follow the case to the different directions it leads to stop the murderer, even if it leads to Audrey Rose's own family.
I could not say enough wonderful things about this book. The mood of the enter story gave me chills by the author's choice of woods. It is very dark and Gothic and told in a very interesting way. I am such a fan of Audrey Rose because she does do a man's job, but she enjoys being girly, which is so rare in YA fiction. She has a rebellious and observant mind that is only befitting her and Thomas in the case.
Thomas Cresswell. Funny, dashing, seductive, what more could you want from a historical gentleman? From the moment he was introduced, I know he would either end up to be the Ripper or Audrey Rose's love interest. It took me a few chapters to be convinced that he wasn't the Ripper.
I do enjoy the Frankenstein element that was brought into this book, and I have a feeling the next one will be involving Dracula, since Audrey Rose and Thomas will be going to Romania.
I do have to note that Audrey Rose and Thomas's love was a little sudden. Their friendship grew, yes; but it seemed just a bit too soon for them to love each other. I think that is all on timing.
But all in all, fabulous read for historical fiction writers. I honestly picked up this book solely because of the title and I am so glad I did. It is beautifully written, the characters are diverse, the plot grew deeper and deeper with each page turn, I could not be more satisfied!

This was definitely not a perfect book b damm did I enjoy it. I had such a fun time and honestly if you can’t read a few books like that then what’s the point. Thomas was so fun and the mystery and a fun one to follow. It was overall a good read
