Truly got so much more from this book than I expected. Even though I can still feel myself in a reading slump, this book helped me so much getting through it. I am obsessed with the different perspectives and different timelines, and the ending was so perfectly satisfying. Although my heart hurts Not only because of how sad the story was, but also because it has come to an end. I felt like I could really relate to the characters and the way this book was written, made me feel as if I was really experiencing this with them. Even though we know from the start that Naomi is dead I still can’t help but wish nothing but the best for her and wish that she got a better ending to your story because she just seems like she would’ve been such an amazing person and truly deserve so much better than she received. This book is clearly not talked about enough, and definitely not receiving the praise that it deserves! This just became my new number one favorite read of the year!!

This was a fun, fast paced dark academia that dives into secret societies and the power of the ultra wealthy. I enjoyed the interwoven stories of both Mya and Naomi and how they were both so similar even though a decade apart. I appreciate the messaging that is portrayed throughout the book of challenges of being multiracial while trying to navigate the same things as those who are white and wealthy. It gave this book more depth and made the characters feel more real. I loved the mystery of the secret societies and all of the connections that were made through both of the sisters storylines.

I did the audio for this one and the narrator was great and I would easily listen to her again. I would also read more from those author as it kept me entertained the entire time.
