I think this made for a decent mystery/thriller; while I was entertained most of the time, the 'mystery' part didn't feel crafted all the best.
At the end, I wasn't really satisfied. When DuPont's little helper is revealed, it doesn't feel right. It doesn't feel like the book was crafted for that ending, like it's a semi-afterthought.
I was pretty invested at the start and during Naomi's POVs, but started to feel a bit winded with Maya's present day portions. Her and her Princeton friends, both then and now, are pretty stupid considering they're Ivy League students.
A good enough read, I suppose, especially for a debut.
