This just felt like a cheap high school drama, honestly. The characters were annoying, the drama was cliche and childish, the plot was meh. It was boring to me and I kept zoning out, unable to focus on the story.

It didn't help that this story constantly flickers back and forth between two characters AND two timelines. It's hard for me to follow one and these past and present scenes crisscross like some complicated crochet pattern. 

Made my head hurt. I just finished this book yesterday and I can't even remember what happened or how it ended because it was just that unremarkable.
