Maya having a husband didn’t track. The distance between the sisters also felt odd. A conversation could have cleared this up, but, it was fairly enjoyable.

Dark academia murder mystery! I thoroughly I enjoyed this but it wasn’t quite five stars. Pick up on the micro aggressions along the way and you won’t be too surprised at where it ends up.

This was okay. The structure made it a bit difficult to follow at times (there are two POV characters but with one of them you get her in two different times) and there are a lot of threads that never really get wrapped up. It also features one of my least favorite things, women spiraling and getting themselves into more trouble than you’re led to believe they can handle.

I tend to be pretty oblivious to plot twists but I was able to predict most of this one. I appreciated the strong female characters throughout and it was a quick read, but some characters got left in the dust. For all the time spent talking about the ripple effects of the truth came out, it would've been nice to address that in more detail at the end.
