This book was totally fine, nothing really wrong with it but I just simply wasn’t very interested. It would be a great book for anyone into darkish academia, secret societies, college drama, Ivy League nepo baby controversy and stuff like that. Just not content I find intriguing is all. I did like that it touched on racism/sexism, corruption in higher education, sisterhood, nepotism and privilege and rich white people bribing schools to let their dumb kids in by sending them a million dollars

There are a couple plot points I’d like clarified, but otherwise enjoyable!

this book is overrated ~ tried to like it but it dissolved into nothing by the end.

I enjoyed the fact that this book took place in a setting that is under explored. I liked the discussion of elite spaces and the focus on lies. There was a lot of tension in the book that was developed by not knowing who either sister could trust. I also found the jumps in time and perspective of narrator to be engaging. It gave a more well-rounded understanding of the story. The only reason that I don’t give it a 4 or 5 is that I felt like it was overly drawn out in some areas. It developed tension but also caused me to periodically lose interest.
