This was largely the definition of okay. Also the most outdated of the books I’ve read so far. I still plan to read the next one or two in the series but if they stay about this caliber I’ll probably dip out at that point

The introduction of Sally Sweet in this book was terrific. I enjoyed the hint of sexual tension beginning to build between Stephanie and Ranger and the 'whodunnit' was a surprise for me.

I wish I had read this in order... honestly, you can read the books in any order but I think reading them in order helps keep track of Plum's antics and this one would have helped me figure out exactly why she was living with Morelli for part of book 5.
Still loved it.

I have not laughed this hard in a long time. Chapter 9 had me crying. I was laughing so hard. I can’t believe it is taking me this long to find these books.

Did not enjoy this one as good as the others in the Stephanie Plum Series.

Working for her bail bondsman cousin, Vinnie, Stephanie is hot on the trail of revenge-seeking waitress Maxine, whose crimes include bail jumping, theft, and extortion. Someone is terrifying Maxine’s friends, and those who have seen her are turning up dead. Also on the hunt for Maxine is Joyce Barnhardt, Stephanie’s archenemy and rival bounty hunter. Stephanie’s attitude never wavers – even when aided by Grandma Mazur, ex-hooker and wannabe bounty hunter Lula, and transvestite rock musician Sally Sweet – and even when Stephanie makes an enemy whose deadly tactics escalate from threatening messages to firebombs. All of this pales in comparison, though, with an even greater danger Stephanie faces, when, homeless and broke, she and her hamster Rex move in with vice cop Joe Morelli.

Ahhahaha, Stephanie Plum is amazing. Amazingly bad at being a bounty hunter. But yeah, that's what this series is all about.
