God, these just get worse and worse and I am so obsessed. In this book, Persephone and Hades relationship is quite honestly close to abuse. Their lack of communication, their punishing each other, flirting with other people, going behind eachothers backs and making deals with the enemy that impact each other. Autonomy WHO?!?! I think it is entirely worth noting that this book needs a host of trigger warnings: death of a close friend, abuse, toxic relationships, intoxication, abduction, sexual assault. But hey. That all said. I'm obsessed, and I'mr equesting the next one from the library right now.

so without any memory of the first part, it was a bit challenging but anyway

its giving female rage 👹 or rage in general, there was very much of it in the book

and i have to say there was so much drama it felt like a wattpad story 😭 IM SORRY

also the smut? generally I don’t have a problem with it but here it was while they were in a fight and while they were angry, tf?

but i loved that the other stories where part

Apollo? I don’t get why shes friends with him now, ig redemption arc but i lowkey still hate him
but im also kinda proud that hes changing

also im very interested to see how the war will be? who will be on what side?
and I expect the snow was Zeus? because of his son and probably Demeter?

and honestly, I don’t like Hades that much, hes fine because shes in love but hes also not for me
at one point she describes how masculine and hot he is and im like
👁️👄👁️ ma‘am the other one is clearly the better choice (appearance wise)
also hes very Mafia boss? as she said also, like very violent and stuff

also she comes across as FAR younger than him?
maybe also because of the audio?
ig she is younger than him but sometimes it seems as tho she is a child or teenager and he is so grown AND IN THE SAME MOMENT SO UNSTABLE
SO WTF

and the „cheating“ omfg i was so ready to hate
but she was so slay and so powerful ugh 🥹

Unfortunately this book just seems to be driven by the exact same characters flaws as the previous two in the series, like these characters are incapable of learning their lessons. The best friend is even more vapid in this installment, leading me to put it down only a few hours in. I came back to it and found it tolerable enough to finish by listening at a faster speed. While I am not bothered by spicy scenes interspersed in a good story, the gratuitous number of sex scenes mainly showcase the author's need of a smut thesaurus and a stronger plot.

It would’ve been a 3.5 star, maybe even a 4, but a lot of the later “plot” elements felt unnecessary and like they were added for drama or to be edgy. I’m also disappointed in the fact that it seems like every chapter has some mention of sex or wanting it, it’s like the main character’s relationship cannot exist without it which does not build healthy foundations and ruined the book for me personally. And then the spicy chapters had less of an impact due to the over abundance of sex talk.
