Overall, I found this to be interesting and entertaining. The beginning was a tad slow but I ended up enjoying the book. This has short chapters and switches between past and present. The plot is intriguing but it does have some filler that it could’ve done without.

In my opinion, this was fun and overall entertaining but I wouldn’t read it again. The ending wasn’t what I expected and I didn’t find it overly shocking 😮

So at first, this book was kind of slow for me and I couldn’t really understand petals writing. But once I got into the book and started understanding this book took my breath away! Absolutely made me sit here being like “wtf”.

Thank you netgalley and publishers for a E-copy of this book! ☺️

I loved this one and found it hard to put down and was always sneaking in pages when I had the chance. I thought I had it all figured out early on and knew how it was going to end but it totally twisted and surprised me! The setting was perfect and the writing had me feeling like I was there with the characters.
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, Atria and the author, Catherine McKenzie for an advance digital copy in exchange for my honest review!
Definitely check this one out if you love thrillers with dual timelines and a twisty ending when it comes out on June 27, 2023.

This was one of the most engaging books I've read in a while! I felt completely absorbed in it, like I was there with the characters and I was witnessing the events from inside the story, if it makes sense.

I really wanted to give this a full 4 star rating, but I found the beginning to be very slow. It takes a bit too long for things to get exciting, but when they did get exciting I was completely drawn in. I was worried the story would spend too much time on the romance aspects but luckily it doesn't dwell on them for too long that it became annoying. The ending definitely threw me off guard and I didn't feel like I was suspending any disbelief. If it wasn't such a slow-burn, this could have been so much better.
