After reading the rebels of sandland series and loving it so much I was so excited to read this.
I will start off with the slight negative which was that as we know, Adam is a psycho. But I didn't like how he constantly talked about it, saying over and over again how he's a psycho and how he has a psycho smile. I prefer to just be shown.
The other thing being that I found some of the other soldiers were justifying themselves a lot, like between each other they were trying to prove that everyone could trust them but they were a group, they'd done it hundreds of times before so i just feel like their loyalty and hard work shouldn't have even been in question.
Now on a more positive note, as always I did love Nikki's writing style, the fact it was told in dual perspective, I loved Adam and the rest of the soldiers (when he wasn't going on about how psycho he was of course haha) I loved Liv and I'm so glad she found her soulmate after having to watch her best friends fall in love.
I loved the banter between the two characters and the back and forth. As we all know I love a chase. It was nice to see Liv's family dynamic too, how close she is to her brothers and how she practically raises them.
I'm looking forward to carrying on with this new series.

Holy wow...and did I say wow!
Oh, my golly gosh! This book absolutely blew me away! It was absolutely amazing from the first page to the last, and so much more than I could have ever expected. Adam & Liv are absolute perfection together. And absolutely explosive in and out of the bedroom with their banter and dynamic relationship. Obsessive, possessive Adam may be psychotic but he's so damn loveable I fell for him almost instantly. There are trigger warnings for this story...being a dark romance, but the emotion and intensity in the dark moments made them more heartfelt than horrid.
Adam is the best of book boyfriends, touch her and you die. Psycho by name, but a softie for the girl who calms his demons. So swoonworthy!
I can't say any more than just to read this book. It's an indie author fave of mine...and Nikki is forever a one-click author for me.
I received an ARC of this book for an unbiased review. This by no means affected my review of the book.

Rating: 4/5
This book is the first one in a new book series by Nikki J. Summers, called The Soldiers of Anarchy. It is a dark, stalker romance book, that follows the story of Adam and Olivia. Most of the POV's in the book are Adam's, which I thought was going to bother me, but I ended up loving it. There is just something about seeing everything from the stalker's perspective that is so addictive. I loved the tension that the main characters have with each other and Olivia is honestly the best. She kept Adam on his toes and their interactions were just amazing.
There is not as much spice in this book as I originally thought there would be, but the tension and violence happening made up for it.
Overall, this was a good read and if you are not sure if dark romance is for you, this might be a perfect starting point.

While I did like the book, I missed having seen Adam meeting Olivia's brothers. I feel like that interaction would probably melt my heart and I would have ended up giving it a 5/5.Overall, this was a good read and if you are not sure if dark romance is for you, this might be a perfect starting point.
Very much a chihuahua trying to be a rottweiler, it had the belly of being a good "dark" romance mafia, gang, robin hood club kinda thing but it was all bark and no bite.
I dnf'd half way through, not for me.

This story was a good time. Quick and fast-paced read. I wasn't really connected to the main characters in any particular way, though. I didn't really feel like I was inside the pages at all, but it was still a fun little stalker romance.
Adam is your everyday stalker who sees his girl for a few seconds and is instantly obsessed. Olivia, however, is a little bit slower to come to terms with it all. But once she does, Adam will stop at nothing to keep her safe. And keep her his.
Highlights:
📌Stalker
📌Bad Boy x Good Girl
📌Vigilante Group

I had a really hard time getting into and through this book. I felt like the characters lacked a lot of depth (their whole character was surrounding the fact that they were dark and scary) and we didn’t really explore how or why they were that way. Besides this, it was a good filler book.

I tried so hard to get into this book. I love morally gray men, and the stalker trope is one of my favorites. It’s hard to find good ones.
I ended up DNF’ing The Psycho simply because the narrative to dialogue ratio was too skewed towards the narrative. I prefer stories with more character interaction. The amount of repetitive narrative was distracting, and a lot of it came across as ego boosting for Adam. I understand what the author was trying to do, but I feel like they would have been more successful if they’d had Adam eavesdrop on people talking about them and how dangerous and powerful they are without him telling it to himself like he was boosting his own ego.
It was a really interesting story, and I give the author props for world building.
