This one didn’t really work for me, and it’s a bummer the series ended with this tbh. Logan was really great with MJ, but how he didn’t say anything or stood up against Trent and his horrible behavior UNTIL it happened to ‘someone he cared about’ gave me the absolute ick. He’s been your best friend for YEARS, you’ve seen his behavior towards and regarding women for YEARS and never thought this is not okay, I’m gonna tell him to stop?? FFS, men need to hold men accountable!! It really really annoyed me.
Also, the way MJ lowkey stalked Trent for months after he ghosted her? Not okay. Yes he was a dick, yes he hurt you but girl… come on.
So yeah, this wasn’t it. Also didn’t help that I wasn’t the biggest fan of the male narrator and zoned out for swaths if the book, I was kinda bored.

I smiled so many times, and now my cheeks hurt. I never knew I was into a man with a mustache, but now I am because of Logan and the man on the cover. Too bad my husband doesn't have a mustache (still love him, tho).
This series was not meant to be standalone. I only read the second and this book (the 5th and the last one). Though I didn't miss the plots but I think it would bring a better reading experience if I read from The Sullivans series, then this The Kings series accordingly. Maybe I will read them when my mood leads me to them.
The pulls and pushes between Logan and MJ were delicious. When both of them snapped, it was snapping good. But I wish they were talking more because I felt like there weren't enough conversations between them.
