This is an adorable coming of age LGTBQ+ love story between two college freshmen. Both protagonists are dealing with various challenges from their pasts, and both learn to value themselves for who they truly are rather than who they think they should be.

very predictable, but it was exactly the comfort read I needed 🩷 devoured it in 2 days lol

Love that it takes place in college and that
Molly finds her confidence without needing to change herself.

oh my gosh 😭 literally what.

the way i loved this book, like it's actually not funny. i am a hopeless romantic 100%. i eat up the cute little moments. this book was everything to me. i loved the plot, the characters; EVERYTHING.

i loved how Alex's story was told. I loved the character development. I loved the small, cute, fluffy moments Molly and Alex would have. I loved the plot/trope. I loved the slow burn. i loved this book so much, like actually.

one thing about me is, when i read, i paint a movie in my mind. i feel like i just watched the most cutest and funniest story ever, it's so crazy what your imagination can do.

anyway, if you're a teen or just someone who loves all the cheesy romance books without the spice (tho it had very suggestive moments but only 3 times) I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK

The premise of this story kept me interested the whole time. The characters never felt over-dramatised or fake, I was rooting for them the whole time. I do think the ending felt a little rushed, but I would still recommend this book!

This is so weird, because this books does tell me a compelling story about a couple i'd root for, it's just that it doesn't seem that's the match the authors' intention. I hated the ending and I hate Alex. The way Cora and Molly broke up didn't make a lot of sense and felt rushed, like the author's forgot they weren't end game. Alex and Molly didn't have a lot of chemistry as a couple either.
At least, the writing itself is well done. But I could barely bring myself to finish this book because Alex, one of the main characters, is unsufferable and not in a good way.
I'd recomend this book for people that don't care if a romantic interest who treats their partner badly have no consequences, self-awareness or accountability and are rewarded by the narrative because they have a sad past. The scene where Molly suffers racism feels like it was just thrown in and had no follow up too.
I actually kind of feel bad saying this because I know this book is based on the real relationship between the authors but I have to be honest.
