Read it after finding a clip of the play on YouTube and needed some context. The clip was all the good parts I guess (20min out of a 4hr long play). The fourth act was rubbish. Scorpions was the best character.

Well I have to admit that I tried a lot to read this book. Being a screenplay means that the writting made me feel quite disassociated with the characters but as I got into it and started to see the story I have to say I found it enjoyable. Still I have to admit I have fan fictions that I liked more. I strongly believe that on stage or on screen could be quite spectacular!!!

Enjoyed being back in the wizarding world. A quick and fun read. A 4.5 star rating.

I have never been so disappointed in a book in my entire life. It makes incredibly sad that this was ever written in the first place.

Definitely had trouble initially with the script format and felt a novel would have been so much richer. Also, found the angst-iness of Albus hard to take in many places, but by the second half of the book, I was hooked into the plot and maybe I did wipe my eyes toward the end. If nothing else, it showed that there is more to mine in this world that Rowling created.

The story picks up with Harry and Ginny's son Albus getting on the Hogwarts Express. Though the idea of the story is nice to continue and learn about the next generation of witches and wizards, the story follows Albus and his friend Scorpius. Albus is a whinny kid who is worried he will never live up to his famous father and older brother.

This play was wonderful, for anyone who adores the wizarding world this play is definitely worth a read. Characters that are loved who died have come back and in such a great way.
This would be great to bring back to the big screen. In two parts as to not cut anything out!

loved the small multiverse concept of what could’ve happened if blah blah happened. i didn’t mind the play format too much but think it would be fun to read the new tales of Albus, Scorpius & Rose in regular formatting would be a great way to bring in a new generation while maintaining the old
