I really enjoyed the experience of reading this book. With short chapters and engaging writing, I flew through it in a few evenings and always looked forward to picking it up and discovering what was going to happen next. I would have given this a higher rating, but I found the ending disappointing. Mostly this was due to the inclusion of a supernatural/paranormal element to the story that never quite worked for me, and that I ultimately felt became a bit of a Deus Ex Machina. Removing this element of the story would have forced the character's to have to make the difficult decisions at the end, rather than having it done for them. I think this would have engendered a stronger, more satisfying conclusion.
Still, I had a fun time reading this, and I would certainly pick up more of C.J. Tudor's work.

Driving home from work one night, Gabe sees his young daughter in the car in front as she mouths the word, "Daddy" only to then discover shortly afterwards that it couldn't have been here...could it? Its a fascinating premise that drew me into the story of a man driven by an obsession to find the truth several years later. There are lots of little sub-plots, false dawns, twists and turns and reveals as everything starts to knit together although it's to the credit of the author that you never quite know whether another little twist is on the way to add another curveball to the story. Lots of characters, clever storylines and a really enjoyable read.

Not at all surprised that I loved this book. Clever up to the very end, fantastic writing and the connections were mind blowing. The whole concept of the 'Other People' is brilliant.
