I just couldn't get behind the romance at all.
The only character I cared about was Guilio.
Ended on a cliffhanger. Boo!

This was good. I enjoyed the story. I did find it quite fast to swap with FMC to the son and then the father. I thought it would have been drawn out more. I also think I struggled with the audiobook from the male perspective. There is quite a bit of Italian spoken in the book with little translation. As I’m not reading a physical or an ebook version, I wouldn’t even know how to spell the words out to look up what the characters have said. I do love Francesca and her feisty side. The spice was delicious. The MMC Fausto, I have a love-hate relationship with, his thoughts about the FMC and how he is addicted to her I’m obsessed with but then he was an asshole and treated her like crap then left her places as punishment. I didn’t connect with the relationship and I think that’s why I didn’t enjoy the mistress dynamic going on. The book leaves on a cliffhanger and I may pick up the next book soon.

2021:
The Heroine is only 18 but she's not compliant.
What annoyed me about a little bit was that since they had sex everything he Had to to was Flick the Bean and every feistyness and defiance was gone.
Overall I think she did okey considering she was kidnapped, stript of Family and Friends in a place where Most people speak a language she does not know.
I didn't liked the huge age gap but i can overlook that.
And the Hero is certainly a ahole and using her but it's a dark Mafia Romance so a lot of smut is kind of what we signed up for.
A few flaws but i still ate it up and coudn't Stop Reading.
A five Star for me.
Would read again.
