I liked this book better than the first two. The character development in this one makes me enjoy the characters more, as well as where the story is going.
This book in particularly is quite quirky in the writing; it made me laugh quite a few times. The end of the books was impossible to put down, and the way the stakes were just raised absolutely make me want to read the next one!

Maggie Stiefvater is a wiz at cliffhangers. This has been the only book so far that was a little slow plot wise but still very, very good because it’s all a continuation of plot rolling over from other books. I really enjoyed the development between the four main characters, we see them split off a little into pairs and discover new things and dynamics and it’s been so good and heart wrenching. Loved.

SECOND READ
I did give it 4/5 this time, idk. It might change on another reread, but I didn't not-hate Greenmantle and Piper enough to not take away a star for them. Also not enough Ronan

FIRST READ
I TRIED TO GIVE IT FOUR STARS. I TRIED!!!!!

I still love the writing, but it felt like it slowed down in the middle for this one.

Enjoyed this more than Dream Thieves for sure but definitely didn't hit as hard as book 1. I don't really know what happened to bring me down from a 5, but I just feel maybe the direction the plot and characters are going is quite what I hoped it would be. Like the hitman stuff I'm not fully on board with, and it still feels like a lot of Blue's 'job' is to be in love with Gansey and tormented about it.

There were some cool bits like how their thoughts could influence the caves, and how Adam and Ronan are more connected to it than the others.

Not particularly stand-out memorable but solid enough.
