I loved it and I'm so glad it's not over for that world, I look forward to reading more. I just have one problem.
I MISS JENNA! I'm sorry but I've grown attached and there wasn't enough of her in this story. There wasn't enough of my favourite ghost, Alther, either now that I come to think about it. But I do realise that when you write about a new lot of characters it isn't reasonable to bring everyone over into the new series. I miss them though, I might have to go reread Magyk again and the rest of the Septimus Heap series, right there goes my weekend. I like Tod and Oskie though so I shall endeavour to adapt. And the whole pathfinder thing is just cool. The book is good and funny like the Septimus Heap series. Okay maybe not quite as funny but if you liked Septimus Heap you should like TodHunter Moon too. This series promises to be an interesting one.
And my ability to write book reviews borders on shite so goodnight.

Arc from edelweiss

Really good mix of old and new characters; plus the story was interesting and the lore of the pathfinders great

when i first got this book from the library after it released i opened it up to marwick’s map and stared at that page for at least twenty minutes like oh it was our world all along….as if i missed everything in the original series revealing that it’s our world ten thousand years in the future…anyhow. i just finished rereading the original septimus heap series and i realized i was not done with the world. so when i went home this past weekend i decided it was high time to reread todhunter moon. i don’t love it quite as much as sep heap but it is still fun and good and i do so love being back in this world and seeing everyone grown up.

This book was REALLY good! I don't think I enjoyed it quite as much as the Septimus Heap books, but it is only the first one in this new trilogy, so I can't fully judge it yet based on that.

I really liked all the new characters, especially Tod, and, of course, seeing a lot of the old characters (from the Septimus Heap books) was great too! Angie's writing was fabulous as ever, and the plot definitely kept me interested and reading. I'm very excited and intrigued to see what happens over the course of the next two books.

4.5/5 stars overall! Angie is definitely one of my favourite authors of all time, and I'm glad I started the new year with one of her books. :)

Actual rating is a little more like 3.5 but I feel bad giving it 3 stars.

The plot is pretty solid and the new characters are fairly good; however, it does not have the Magykal quality and wonderfully, hilariously quirky style that gives the first series all its power. I honestly made it through so fast just because of how often the old gang showed up and how much I cared about them.

That being said, the old gang is still here and they are still fabulous!! It's completely worth reading if only to catch up with them.

Reuniting with Favourite childhood characters; but they have grown up with you too!
A little too fast paced, lovely new characters and more parents and children interactions.
P.s. Jina's still my least favourite, maybe i even like her less than before...
P.s'. I loved how snorri came to love tod, and gave her ulr.
*spoilers*

Sooo happy for snorri and nicko... and my dear marcia and milo!
