The bones are there, and I enjoyed this… but there’s something missing in the writing that I’m chalking up to being a new author thing. There’s some level of- we are expected to know the characters without them being revealed to us organically- I don’t really feel like I know Aidan at all.

I think the next one will be my fav.

This one was a pretty big letdown if I'm being honest. I had SO much hope for Wes's story because he was my favorite part of the first book, but when it came down to it, it all just fell flat. I just couldn't get on board with the romance; it all seemed too instalovish for my taste, even with Ada being hesitant to get involved. I loved Wes and his vulnerability with Ada, but even with the plethora of sweet moments, everything still felt way too forced and rushed.
