This was a good follow-up to the series opener. It was hinted in the first book who would be partnered with Wes and continued to build the tension between Teddy and Gus. An easy listen and predictable but I find that comforting.

Ada didn’t finish her interior design degree but has built a social media following that is supportive and fuels her business. She’s wary of men following the divorce from a controlling husband and is bit of a slow burn while she works through these feelings. I also resonated a lot with Ada in that she’s never been a girls girl. She’s always been on the outskirts of friendships and groups and especially after her divorce, that everyone around her would eventually realize that they don’t like her for who she is.

Wes was patient and respectful giving Ada the space she needed every step of the way. He was also so down bad for her that that I loved it.

I enjoyed this and looking forward to Teddy and Gus next.

Audiobook is dual narration.

Swift and Saddled is the second book in the Rebel Blue Ranch series.

There are two open door encounters.

This was cute. I just love being in this world and seeing all the characters. That being said I didn’t enjoy this nearly as much as the first. I think it was too insta love for me. I liked Wes and Ada as characters themselves, but together I really didn’t feel anything. I did also appreciate the depression representation. I still think it’s worth the read, but it’s not a new favorite unfortunately.

All that and I learned how to drive a standard.

Weston Rhodes Ryder... the wonderful, fictional, cinnamon roll mmc that you are 😍

Rating this one on vibes alone. Some books are simply there to make us feel something and to remember there's still hope and healing out there. I loved Ada and Wes' story and though their relationship  and individual struggles could have been flushed out a bit more, I'm letting that go. I definitely enjoyed this one more than Done and Dusted.
