Lucie's 12-year-old daughter calls into a romance hotline hosted by Aiden because she wants her mom to start dating again. This conversation goes viral and people are very invested in Lucie's dating life. So Aiden decides to bring her onto his show and help her In the dating department.

I do love a good forced proximity book and I loved the fact that this one was forced proximity because of a tenacious and precocious 12-year-old little girl. It was very sweet and very cute. I really enjoyed the relationship in the slow build chemistry between both Lucie and Aiden. Both characters are very well developed and work well together, which I very much enjoy.

I did see that this is book one so I'm very curious to see who the next book is going to be for and to see more of these characters.

This book was not for me. It became a chore to finish once I hit the 40% mark. I started having technical issues with this about 15% of the way through, and it never improved. There was repetition that bothered me. If the author shaved off about 100 pages, I probably could've enjoyed this. I didn't think it was overall bad, but I also didn't think it was spectacular. There were a lot of points I disliked more than I liked.

I would probably recommend this to other people, though.

This is a charmingly messy rom-com, and I mean that in the best way. I loved the banter-filled, slow-burn romance. Lucie and Aiden’s love story is real, sweet, and full of heart.

Since this is a radio show romance, I highly recommend the audiobook, the dual POV made for a really fun listen!

Recommend for fans of:

- Sleepless in Seattle

Content Notes:
Graphic: Sexual content (2–3 scenes)
Moderate: Grief (cancer related)
Minor: Pregnancy, Abandonment

I somehow didn’t realize when I first came across this book that it was written by the same author as Lovelight Farms but given it was it’s super unsurprising that I loved it as much as I did. I think I marginally prefer the Lovelight Farms setting just cause of how wholesome it is but I love a big city setting too and I loved all the characters in this so much
