This was such a cute book! I loved the characters and the format. Listening to the audiobook, I loved the “on air” segments and the dual pov from each character. I found myself smiling a lot and really engaged with the overall story. Just a nice feel good romance!

This was a really enjoyable witty, cozy, spicy romance with great supporting characters! I love that it was inspired by Sleepless in Seattle! I thought it was a little too slow-burn and long, and I didn’t love the emotionally-unavailable-man trope, but otherwise it was a great story! Some open-door scenes that I think would be easy to skip if that’s not your thing!

“I want to feel something when I connect with someone. I want sparks. The good kind, you know? I want to laugh and mean it. I want goose bumps. I want to wonder what my date is thinking about and hope it might be me. I want…I want the magic.”

Oh Aiden and Lucie, what this duo can be. It's the first time this year where I actually was kicking and smiling so wildly while reading a book. I'm so glad to have subscribed to February's Afterlight subscription because that edition is just the prettiest book I've ever had.

Let's start with Lucie, who is a single mother and just wants magic. So her daughter called in the Heartstrings hotline to ask this dashing gentleman for an advise on how her mother can attain this magic relationship. This dashing gentleman, being a grumpy guy named Aiden, comes in and helps her find this magic through the podcast. What started as co-hosting a podcast turned into a romantic relationship.

I thought it was a really cute development between the two main characters and seeing them both develop their feelings towards one another while simultaneously being open to dating is really a heart-ache and a cure all in one. I was just excited to see how the two of them would finally end up together (although it was a long journey, it was worth every page). To see this grumpy Aiden care for Lucie is just the cutest thing. He really did get out of his comfort zone for Lucie. Everybody was tuning in.

The additional transcripts at every start of the chapter were also my favorite! The side characters are all five stars as well! I'm really going to be tuning in to this series, for sure!
