This was god damn adorable 😍

A warm hug of a book. "Sleepless in Seattle" inspired. Amazingly fierce FMC, Lucie, is a car mechanic which was absolutely kick ass. MMC, Aiden broke my heart. Delightful side characters and a sweet mother-daughter sub-plot. Please read this!

Also, the two narrators (Hathaway Lee and E.J Bingham) smashed it out of the park ❤️

Really enjoyed! Grateful to Gracie for kindly sending me this book. I almost DNFed the audiobook, but the print book was very worth it. I love the caring family, work, and friend relationships, and the accountability that the characters take. The grief and fear that motivate the characters also feels warranted and genuine. The antics are silly and delightful. Also spicy :)

This was .. fine?
I heard a lot of good things before starting this book and I can’t say my expectations matched those. The idea is really cute, but one of the main characters was hiding his problems too much under the grumpy facade.
I also don’t like it when people that need therapy end up in a relationship, it kinda implies that the partner is doing the emotional work and therapy is no longer necessary.
The book dragged around the middle and the ending still felt kinda rushed, the pacing wasn’t my favorite.

It’s hard not to love Aiden & Lucie! It was a slow burn for sure, but the YEARNING! It’s been a while since I’ve read something this well done in the romance genre. Aiden was frustrating at times, with not much reason or realization for his hesitation, but he got there with a really beautiful & emotional wrap up.

Very cute modern interpretation of Sleepless in Seattle. Lucie and Aiden have a lot of great chemistry and the narrators of the audiobook are fantastic. I loved listening to this.

Retelling of Sleepless in Seattle? Say less. The premise was a great subtle nod to the 90’s classic romantic film. With a teen calling into a radio station, with a relationship segment headed up by a jaded host, about her seemingly happy, but lonely, mom.

The structure of the storytelling is really nice with the radio/text transactions between each chapter. It kept the feel of the radio segment very fresh.

The main characters were so beautifully done! Female mechanic! Yup. I liked it! I think that the single parent role was tastefully done. The feelings of missing out while absolutely adoring the family you made was perfection. The unrealistic male who actually listens was a dreamboat. I wish there was a little more depth  to both characters. I feel like we only got the tip of the ice burg.

I really like the side characters. There many that seemed like they weren’t going to be in the lineup for the series that stayed pretty ambiguous… I wanted a little more of their stories, but I’m excited to see which will get the focus in the next book/s since there will be interconnected standalones.
