I absolutely loved Lucie and Aiden’s story! They and the side characters were easy to love, and their romance was so swoony. I wanted to yell at them that they were in denial about their feelings, but squealed with excitement when they finally acknowledged them. The steamy scenes were perfect too. This is such a delightful romcom and one of my favorite reads of the year so far!

I’ve been reading the Lovelight series and have been pretty into it, so when I saw this as a February BOTM pick I had to choose it. Honestly, even though I have never seen Sleepless in Seattle, I somehow found this even better than Lovelight. The story itself is great, but the excerpts from the radio show in between each chapter really make the book. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series

*I received an eARC of this book from Berkley via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own. Thanks!*

Wow. Just wow! I have been a BK Borison fan for a while now, having read Lovelight Farms a few years ago now. I was excited for her first foray out of that series and I was not disappointed!

Aiden and Lucie were such real and honest characters. I loved reading them as they broke down their own, and each other’s, walls. The setting of the call in radio show was cute, trope-y, and so romantic. I loved getting to know Lucie’s family, Aiden’s coworkers, and the city of Baltimore.
I cannot say enough good things about this book. It was the perfect winter read to keep me warm (read: hot) and a truly memorable story of two people learning how to be brave enough to fall in love.

Very enjoyable audiobook! Since the story centers around a radio show, I feel like the audio enhanced the experience. As someone from Baltimore, I also enjoyed and appreciated the abundance and accuracy of the Baltimore cultural and geographic references. (I knew exactly what it meant when they referred to “the snowball stand in the parking lot of the strip club by the pit beef place”.) I also really enjoyed the “found family” element of the story. I was excited to see what I think are breadcrumbs for the next books in the series woven in.

Spice: 2.5/5
Rating: 4.75/5

This was feet-kicking good. The narrators were fantastic. But it’s a crime that the whole book was not duet!!! The little radio snippets that were duet were so good, I wanted the whole book narrated that way. I loved the little sound effect leading in and out of the radio snippets too! I was a little worried about the MFC having a child but having a self sufficient teenager in a story is way better than a baby/toddler in a story. The end made me cry. And the end was so romantic.

I have read B.K. Borison's other series and loved it, so I knew going into this that I was in for a good time. Lucie and Aiden have my heart! I devoured this book reading and listening on audio. Aiden was so sweet and you could easily see him falling for Lucie with their banter on the air. I recommend listening to this on audio because it makes you feel like you're listening to the radio show in those excerpts between the chapters. I am very excited for Jackson's book and his love interest better be Delilah or I will riot!
