I have loved every Grady Hendrix book that I have picked up so I was really excited for this one because the mix of heavy metal and demons sounded like a good time. This was just as weird, and gross, and fun as I thought it would be. If you are hoping for answers or for an ending that gets all tied up in a bow, you're in the wrong place but if you want some weird, creepy stuff, pick this one up.

This book counts for Popsugar 2022 for a book about a band or musical group, for r/Fantasy 2022 Bingo for a stand alone, and for Bookoplathon September 2022 for a book with people on the cover.

Metal, rock, music, legends and a world that is out to burry you when you no longer are a useful tool, the dreams of boys that blaze everything on their path, take no survivours and destroy all the women on their way.
This one of the weirdest books I have ever read in my life, if you are willing to ignore BIG flagrant issues it has handling mental illness and conspiracy theories that dip too much into Q-anon terrotory making them valid
No Mr. Hendrix, my mental illness doesn't make me or other mentally ill people "magic" or "more attuned to hear the cry of troglodyte", my meds aren't for mind controling me, in fact they keep me from tearing my hair and my sking with my nails! and Capitalism™️ sure sucks, but racist, misogynistic, antisemetic conspiracy theorist DO NOT AND WILL NEVER HAVE A POINT
this a solid read for anyone digging a good eldritch horror read or for any music lovers that ever dreamed of becoming legends, really.
.
How does a sparrow destroy a mountain? One pebble at a time.

Another fun read by Grady Hendrix. I really love this author and his stuff is always fun to read, even though it has those dark themes to it.

This is my new favorite Grady Hendrix, full stop. I was rooting for Kris the whole time and the whole journey was engaging and tense. I kept picturing Terry like Lestat, they just called him blond but hey whatever.
