Entertaining read, loved the mystery, characters weren’t likable, but of course they weren’t supposed to be. Had a few twists I actually didn’t see coming! Enjoyed. Good beach read

Interesting concept with chapters being from a whole host of different characters point of views.
A cast of terrible characters, you wanted all of them to get what they deserved. Well written.

The concept was there, but it never really took off properly for me. Rich people in their glamorous summer homes, with a tangled web of secrets amungst their ‘groups’… it could’ve been great escapism and a brilliant beach read - and in some ways it still is, so don’t let my review put you off. Each reader to its own!
What didn’t work for me was for nearly the whole first half of the book were tiny little tidbits of the current story, which were constantly interrupted by long and unnecessary descriptions of each characters past thereafter. I didn’t feel it often benefit the overall story and just took my attention away from the actual goings on. I felt very distracted overall and longed for the story to actually just get started.
Most of these characters are unlikeable - and that’s not a bad thing for a story; I actually quite enjoy it! It makes everyone untrustworthy meaning the story can go absolutely anywhere. This bunch backstab, scheme and knickers are dropped at the drop of a tennis ball - whether they’re married or not!! Character wise - I really enjoyed it. The women in particular were so enjoyable to read about. Think ‘Footballers Wives’!
The location too was great. Brilliant escapism for the right reader, it’ll be a great beach or holiday read.

A little mystery, a lot of drama. A good summer book, though it’s not quite summer yet. I couldn’t decide if I wanted them to get away with it or to have justice served. But the ending did feel easy enough.
