This was an interesting summer story that highlights a few really horrible adults that summer on Fire Island each year. The gossiping and backstabbing in the story are really good, and make this story entertaining and enjoyable to continue.

This book is kinda like if Big Little Lies had less “girl power” vibes and more cheating. It’s like a mix between Succession and a Bravo TV show. I love Bravo, hate Succession.

It made me grumpy to read because it truly is just rich people behaving badly with little to no repercussions because they’re rich. There is maybe one semi-likeable character of the bunch, and there are so many characters to keep track of.

It wasn’t for me, but I kept reading to figure out the murder mystery.
