I wanted to love this book. Truth is I almost DNF at 70%.
There are a lot of random characters, conversations, and only a few chapters about the hide and seek game itself. The hide and seek game didn’t even start until 70% and there are too many side twists and turns. It’s very hard to keep up with. I felt like I was reading 4 different stories at the same time. There is no momentum or lead up to the actual games themselves. It made it anticlimactic. Best advice I can give if you are reading this review before you read the book is to look at it like this and not a dangerous hide and seek game;
this is a story about a social media company with extreme challenges, but each person has their own dark secrets. Can Extreme survive them coming into the light?
