Boring AF. Premise sounded really interesting but literally NOTHING happens in this book. It had so much potential to be a twisty whodunnit/Agatha Christie style mystery with a creepy hide and seek game and an abandoned, decrepit hotel on a quiet island with a dangerous storm rolling in. But it went nowhere and did nothing with any of those exciting elements. Hella disappointing.

Adele, single mother of 2 teenagers, signs up for a game of hide and seek on a small isolated island. The game will be in and around an abandoned resort, and the last person found wins $1 million dollars. Adele is competing against two other influencers, who have more outdoor and rugged type experience. However, she has the best reason for competing - her kids. Adele finds out that a girl went missing in a previous game by this company, and then a person goes missing right before the game starts. Although the story was a bit predictable at times, the story held my attention the whole time. I wanted a fun, easy, quick read; and this met my expectations.
