dracula daily was such a fun experience omg reading along each day and then logging into tumblr to see what people were saying made my appreciate the book so much and feel like a part of a community! the experience made me want to do more group reading things and possibly join a book club! the book itself was also great and i loved all of the characters and felt so worried for them! i loved that i got so attached to them that i wished it didn’t have to be a horror novel where scary and bad things happened to them

I read this as part of Dracula Daily, participating with others on tumblr, and have never had more fun. I wrote analysis of how Jonathan Harker is playing the role of a gothic heroine (and even dressed up as him for Halloween). It was so, so more impactful in a book club kind of setting. I'm already looking forward to next year.

There's not a tag for it, but the characters use phrenology a lot, and it drove me crazy. It's pseudoscience bram. give it up

So much more charming than I'd expected. Turns out that no matter how many adaptations you've seen, you know nothing about the plot of Dracula. The characters stole my heart instantly. Reading it in the Dracula Daily format is extremely fun, especially if you follow all the memes and historical explanations on Tumblr. Never have I felt so actively engaged with a book since childhood.

An amazing way to experience Dracula, thanks both to the chronologically paced emails, and to the thriving Dracula Daily fandom on Tumblr in 2022.
