That was a pretty good way to tie this trilogy with the Rebels show, but I’m not completely satisfied.
Don’t get me wrong, Treason (which contains that same word way too many times in the text) was miles better than Alliances. The return of our beloved Eli, Ar’alani and the Chiss Defence Fleet, Ronan and his face I would love to punch (I wish Faro had had that moment alone with him to knock some sense into the guy)… but I feel like there are still so many things about the whole Ascendancy that haven’t been explored. Maybe that’s what Filoni’s Thrawn project will delve into. For now, I’m a tad disappointed that this specific part wasn’t tied as well as the Lothal and Stardust things.
I was pretty happy with the Thranto content we got, no matter how short. I cannot believe anyone who doesn’t see how in love those two are because frankly Eli has been waiting this whole book to get his guy alone. Like it’s written on the page that he’s desperately in love. I hope we get them together in love action at one point.
All in all, other than once again leaving me hungry, Zahn did a pretty good job with this trilogy.

This one had some boring moments even outside the space battles, but I liked Ronan and how ridiculous he was. And Eli is back!!! He was so sad abt that reunion with Thrawn poor boy
