This one had some boring moments even outside the space battles, but I liked Ronan and how ridiculous he was. And Eli is back!!!
He was so sad abt that reunion with Thrawn poor boy

This book definitely entertained me, though I admit not as much as the previous two. Something that bothered me about the story was the description of when characters were completing actions or even changing facial expressions. I don't think I want to know how many millimetres someone's eyebrows rose or how many seconds it was silent, but that's my personal preference. In addition to this, I strongly disliked the character of Assistant Director Ronan, which was probably the idea, but his constant whining put me off the story for a little while.

However, it is always enjoyable to read about Thrawn's deductive skill and military mind as he fights his enemy, and his interactions with other characters, old and new. I also appreciate the references to the Star Wars: Rebels TV show so that we know at what point in time this story is taking place.

Despite the positive things I have to say about this book, it left me wanting more of something. There was definitely something missing, perhaps more of Thrawn's perspective (and less of Ronan's). I can't quite put my finger on it.

Overall, entertaining with exciting moments, but not particularly noteworthy.
