I skimmed the last, like, fifteen chapters. Not my cup of tea.

🍎Quick read

It's part of a series but can be read as a standalone (Faerie Tale Romances series), although you'll definitely get more out of it if you read the previous ones (The Lily Gate doesn't affect it much). It feels like the other stories have been leading to this one, all the work a certain secretive fairie godmother has been doing for the balance and strength of Tír na nÓg and the happiness of its inhabitants.

It's cute, and light, perfect for a quick escape, and the couple complements each other well. It mixes comfort with the most action and non-graphic violence of any of the books, as the mcs and their allies confront the Final Boss!!😱 Which still isn't a lot as it also has slice of life.

Audrey is so cool!! I love how Sandvig thought "Hey, you know what would be cool? A spellcrafter with the mind of a programmer!" And it is! That scene with the wolves was such a gamer move too 🤩

I loved diving back into Faerie, this time visiting the Unseelie Kingdom. Neve/Niamh is probably my favourite version of Snow White ever! She bakes, has chickens, can handle a sword and wears gorgeous vintage dresses for every occasion. What's not to love?

I also really enjoyed seeing characters from previous books living out their 'happily ever afters'. As always, Hanna Sandvig's world is full of magic and whimsy and yummy snacks that leave you with all the happy, fluffy feels and a smile on your face.
