3,5⭐ my first Mariana Zapata book and it was soooo sweet!! I loved the slow burn it was just what I wanted to read to get me out of a reading slump. So why not a higher rating? If I was older I guess I would have liked it more because the characters were a bit older. I just didn't love Rhodes as much as I had expected, which is fine. It was sweet and I loved Aurora and him together with Amos. I'll give Mariana Zapata another shot!

I would give it more than 5 stars if it was an option. Did I ruin my schedule to finish this? OFC! And dont get me started on Rhodes .I FUCKING LOVE THIS MAN.Slow Burn, Grumpy Sunshine, Age Gap and Single Parent! what else do you need in a good book. All my favourite tropes written perfectly well..

this book really hit home for me. I lost my mom super suddenly in July and picking this book up really made me feel mushy inside seeing Aurora dealing with grief the same way I am now. With all of that being said I really loved the single dad kind of trope we have going on kinda sorta lol. Rhodes reminds me of a mountain men, all bearded and big. lol.

Okay this one was a sloooowwwwww burn. But honestly, I don’t even care because it was so worth it! Daddy Rhodes is everything. This book had grumpy/sunshine, single dad, one bed/forced proximity, age gap-ish tropes. Also, the nicknames had my heart melting.
