I generally enjoyed the style and plot (twists) of the book. I thought Jane was a compelling main character who makes her own way and stays true to herself.

-1 star because of racism and the male characters who are actually a crime. I see how things were different at the time this book was written, but even the book itself acknowledges that the age gap in the relationship between Jane and Mr Rochester is weird. Found it hard to look past that and actually root for them.
